icolo.io has been established with the vision of building a Pan African network of Colocation Data Centers. icolo.io will build and operate a state of the art, (Tier 3), vendor and carrier neutral data center to serve abroad spectrum of clients - telecom carriers, ISPs and peering points, IT and cloud providers, content providers and corporates. The company will create a highly connected data center hub in their countries of operations. It will differentiate itself from providers of hosting services by being the first independent data center business to focus solely on co-location services (space, power availability licenses and physical interconnects). It is icolo.io’s objective to be the largest independent colocation data center operator in Africa over the next five years.

The Candidate:                

As an Accounts Admin at iColo.io you will be part of a team responsible the day to day running of our data centre and ensuring both our internal and external customers receive the highest standard of service.


To provide administrative support to the team members across a wide range of tasks, and to provide assistance to the Accountant for basic book keeping, filing, and statutory submissions, and to co-ordinate collections and deliveries with the courier company


  • Answer telephone enquiries from customers & suppliers and attend to visitors
  • Facilitates physical access and receive guests.
  • Liase with ISC and Operations to manage tickets.
  • Co-ordinating office amenities and daily cleaning.
  • Liase with HQ for purchases and procurement.
  • Maintain an effective filing system
  • Manage office supplies’ inventory
  • Managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements in Nairobi office
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations including proper maintenance of First Aid Box in the company, and ensuring City Council Fire inspections are carried out and licensing is renewed
  • Liaising with security companies on maintenance of security systems and monitoring of the reporting time of security guards on duty
  • Timely renewal of subscription and membership to various bodies
  • Prepare monthly expense logs, do reconciliation and submit to head office for payment
  • Submit invoices to HQ for payments
  • Petty Cash management and reconciliation
  • Submit monthly overtime or any other reports to head office
  • Prepare and process employee expense reports for reimbursement
  • Implement head office procedures in Nairobi NBO1 office
  • Any other tasks as required by Nairobi office team members

Required Skills and experience

  •  Minimum two years experience in a Reception  / Administration role
  •  Great communication and interpersonal skills
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  •  Accounting skills – a definite added advantage
